PNB Local Bank Officer Salary 2026

The Local Bank Officer post is offered in JMGS-I with the pay scale of:

₹48,480 – ₹2,000/7 – ₹62,480 – ₹2,340/2 – ₹67,160 – ₹2,680/7 – ₹85,920.

In addition to basic pay, selected candidates will be eligible for benefits such as DA, CCA, HRA/leased accommodation, Leave Fare Concession, medical insurance, retirement benefits and other applicable bank benefits as per PNB rules.

PNB LBO Eligibility Criteria 2026

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for PNB Local Bank Officer Recruitment 2026 must be graduates in any discipline from a university or institution recognized/approved by the Government of India or its regulatory bodies.

There is negative marking for incorrect answers. One-fourth of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for every wrong answer. Candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks of 40% for General/EWS and 35% for Reserved categories in each section, subject to the Bank’s right to revise the criteria.

Local Language Proficiency Test

The LLPT is qualifying in nature and tests the candidate’s reading, writing and speaking ability in the concerned local language. Candidates who studied the specified language in Class 10th or 12th can be exempted from the LLPT, subject to submission of valid documentary proof.

Personal Interview

The Personal Interview carries 50 marks.

  • Minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST: 45% (22.50 marks)
  • Minimum qualifying marks for other candidates: 50% (25 marks)

Final selection will be based on the combined performance in the Online Written Test and Personal Interview, subject to qualifying in the LLPT wherever applicable and fulfilling all eligibility/document requirements.
