UKPSC Upper PCS Educational Qualification 2026
For Post Codes 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 13 and 15, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university established by law in India.
Some posts have additional/special educational requirements.
Post-Specific Qualifications
Assistant Director/Accounts Examination Officer:
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or equivalent qualification such as CA, as specified in the notification.
Deputy Education Officer/Staff Officer/Law Officer:
Postgraduate degree from a recognized university is prescribed.
Assistant Labour Commissioner:
Bachelor’s degree with one of the specified subjects such as Economics, Sociology, Commerce, Law, Labour Relations, Labour Welfare, Social Work/Welfare, Business Management or Personnel Management.
Assistant Director/Deputy Secretary, Sanskrit Education:
Postgraduate degree in Sanskrit or equivalent; the notification also specifies an alternative B.Ed.-related qualification.
Assistant Director, Factory/Boiler:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or another government-recognized equivalent qualification.
Horticulture Development Officer Grade-II:

UKPSC Upper PCS Age Limit 2026
The notification prescribes:
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 42 years
- Age Calculation Date: 01 July 2026
Accordingly, a candidate must have attained the minimum age of 21 years on 01 July 2026 and must not have attained the maximum age of 42 years on that date. The notification specifies the corresponding date-of-birth limits as after 01 July 2005 and before 02 July 1984, respectively.
