Main Descriptive Examination
The Main Descriptive Examination is of 100 marks with a duration of 120 minutes.

- Grammar & Comprehension Passage – 25 marks
- Translation from Hindi to English – 10 marks
- Translation from English to Hindi – 10 marks
The minimum qualifying marks are 50% for General category candidates and 45% for Reserved category candidates, including PwBD candidates.
The Interview carries 15 marks, with no minimum qualifying marks.
Final Merit
The final merit/select list will be prepared by adding marks obtained in:

- Main Descriptive Examination
- Interview
The English Typing Test is qualifying in nature and its marks are not added to the final merit.

Photograph & Document Requirements
Candidates must upload a recent colour passport-size photograph in JPEG format. The photograph should be 100 KB to 200 KB, approximately 3.5 cm × 4.5 cm, and should not be more than three months old from the publication of the examination notice.
A live photograph captured through a webcam/mobile device is also mandatory. The live photograph must match the uploaded passport-size photograph.
