MECL Recruitment 2026 Educational Qualification
The educational qualification varies according to the post.
Accountant
Candidates should be Graduates and should have passed Intermediate of CA/ICWA. The post requires 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience in Accounts work after passing Intermediate of CA/ICWA.
Technician (Survey)
Candidates should have ITI in Survey or Diploma in Survey. One year of post-qualification relevant experience in Survey is desirable.
Technician (Sampling)
Candidates should possess a B.Sc. degree. One year of relevant experience in Drill Core/Mine Sampling is desirable.
Technician (Laboratory)
Candidates should have B.Sc. in Chemistry, Physics or Geology. One year of relevant laboratory experience is desirable.
Assistant (Materials)
Candidates should be a Graduate with Mathematics or B.Com. Basic computer proficiency and SAP-MM are desirable.
Assistant (Accounts)
Candidates should possess B.Com. Basic computer proficiency and SAP-FICO are desirable.
Stenographer (English)
Candidates should be a Graduate in any stream along with a certificate in shorthand with 80 words per minute in English.
Assistant (Hindi)
Candidates should be a graduate with Hindi and English as subjects, or a degree in English with the prescribed equivalent examination in Advanced Hindi.
Electrician
Candidates should have ITI (Electrical) or Diploma (Electrical) along with a valid Wireman Certificate. One year of relevant post-qualification experience is required.
Machinist
Candidates should have ITI in relevant trades such as Turner/Machinist/Grinder/Miller, or a relevant Mechanical/Manufacturing/Production/Tool & Die Engineering Diploma. One year of relevant industrial experience is required.
Technician (Drilling)
Candidates need an ITI certificate in relevant trades such as Mechanic (Earth Moving Machinery), Diesel Mechanic, Motor Mechanic or Fitter, or a Diploma in Drilling/Mechanical Engineering, along with a valid HMV licence and prescribed experience.
Mechanic
Candidates should have ITI in Diesel/Motor Mechanic/Fitter trade or relevant Diploma along with a valid HMV licence and one year of relevant experience.
Mechanic-cum-Operator (Drilling)
Candidates should have ITI in Mechanic (Earth Moving Machinery), Diesel Mechanic, Motor Mechanic or Fitter trade, or a Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile/Drilling Engineering. One year of relevant experience is required.
Junior Driver
Candidates should have:
- 10th Class pass
- Valid LMV licence
- Valid HMV licence
- One year of consolidated experience in driving light and heavy vehicles.
Assistant (IT)
Candidates should have BCA/BCS/BCCA/B.Sc. in Computer Science/IT/Computer Applications/BISM, or graduation in any stream with at least a one-year diploma/PG Diploma in IT, Computer Science or Computer Applications.
Assistant (HR)
Candidates should possess BA/B.Com/B.Sc/BBA/BBM/BSW from a recognized institution as prescribed in the notification. Basic computer proficiency and SAP-HCM are desirable.

W-7 Grade
Accountant: ₹22,900 – ₹55,900
W-4 Grade
Most Non-Executive posts carry a basic pay scale of:

This includes posts such as Technician, Assistant, Electrician, Machinist, Mechanic, Mechanic-cum-Operator, Assistant (IT) and Assistant (HR).
W-3 Grade
Junior Driver: ₹19,600 – ₹47,900
