Educational Qualification – NCRTC Recruitment 2026
Supervisor-I posts:
Depending on the post, candidates require an Engineering Degree/Diploma in the relevant discipline. For Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical and Civil posts, a 3-year Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline is prescribed. Relevant B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. Engineering qualifications are also permitted for specified posts.
Junior Maintainer posts:
Candidates must possess ITI/NCVT/SCVT certificates in the relevant trade:
- Electrician
- Fitter
- Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
- Electronics Mechanic
For Junior Maintainer posts, the prescribed ITI qualification is mandatory even if the candidate possesses a higher qualification.

Educational Qualification – NCRTC Recruitment 2026
For the IT-related Supervisor posts, candidates can have a 3-year Diploma in Computer Science/IT, BCA, B.Sc. IT, B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science/IT/Electronics, MCA or equivalent qualification, as specified for the respective post.
For Corporate Hospitality, a relevant degree in Hospitality/Hotel Administration/Hotel Management is required. Corporate Communications requires graduation along with a PG Degree/PG Diploma in Mass Communication/Public Relations. Electrical and Civil Supervisor posts require a relevant 3-year Engineering Diploma, with specified higher engineering qualifications also permitted.
For Junior Maintainer posts, candidates need ITI in Electrician or Fitter trade.

Age Limit – NCRTC Recruitment 2026
The maximum age limit is 28 years for the posts mentioned in both notifications, subject to applicable relaxation for reserved categories and other eligible categories.
Age is calculated with reference to 10 September 2026.
Applicable age relaxation includes:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (NCL): 3 years
- PwBD: as per category and rules
- Ex-servicemen: as per applicable Government of India rules.

Salary / Pay Scale
NCRTC offers the following pay scales:
Supervisor-I
₹37,000 – ₹1,15,000
Initial Basic Pay: ₹37,000
Junior Maintainer
₹18,250 – ₹59,200
Initial Basic Pay: ₹18,250
In addition to basic pay, eligible employees will receive applicable VDA, HRA, perks and allowances under NCRTC rules.
Selection Process – NCRTC Recruitment 2026
The NCRTC recruitment selection process includes:
- Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Medical Fitness Test
The CBT will consist of 100 questions for 100 marks with a duration of 90 minutes. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers. The minimum qualifying marks are 60% for UR/OBC (NCL)/EWS and 50% for SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen, followed by merit-based selection.
The tentative CBT is scheduled for November/December 2026.
Application Fee – NCRTC Recruitment 2026
For both recruitment notifications:
- UR/OBC (NCL)/EWS/Ex-Servicemen: ₹500 + applicable transaction charges/GST
- SC/ST/PwBD: No application fee
Candidates applying for more than one post have to pay the applicable fee separately for each post.
